If we made a polyester pillow with cheap Indian cotton we could sell them for 1/5th the price. But then we’d sell a pillow that’s full of chemicals, many of which are endocrine disrupting and carcinogenic. We’d be forced to treat our pillows with chemical flame retardant because of the explosive nature of the petrochemical fill. We’d sell a pillow that doesn’t support our fellow countrymen and isn’t in line with our values. We’d sell a throwaway product that isn’t meant to last. I don’t know what we’d be, but we wouldn’t be The Woolshire.
